Another week has come and gone, but that’s no reason to be sad! This week, I have something especially romantic (and hilarious) to share with you!
No, what I’m here to share with you is The Princess and the Penis. If you haven’t heard about this tres amusing short story yet, you are really missing out! This free short story tells the tale of a lovely, innocent princess whose bed becomes haunted by a phantom penis that makes it quite difficult for her to get a good night’s sleep. I could not stop giggling like a madwoman while I read this, so I do hope you don’t get put off by the title and will give this one a shot. It’s really quite good (and very, very funny)!
As you may already know, I had an absolute blast at Authors After Dark last year. I am definitely planning on attending this year, too! I’m looking forward to seeing the friends I made last year, as well as getting to know some authors like Carolyn Crane, Larissa Ione, Meljean Brook, Alexandra Ivy, and my new favorite debut whose book I am dying to read, Allison Pang, just to name a few. Plus I get to meet all those awesome bloggers and fans, talk on panels, and give away more fantastic stuff! Love it, love it, love it. It will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Philadelphia this August 11th-14th, 2011. Check the official Authors After Dark website for details. Will I see you there?
One of the reasons I bring up Authors After Dark is because of a fabulous blogger who I met while I was there last year! This ties in to my NOCTURNAL giveaway, because the hysterically funny, terribly dirty-minded, and all around awesome Joy of Joyfully Reviewed had this to say about SPARK OF TEMPTATION:
“Spark of Temptation” shows Sara that not all mages are the same. I loved Sara’s spunkiness and Arnold’s determination to prove that they belonged together. Sara and Arnold’s adventure was action packed and had me wondering just what would happen next in several spots. That they could defeat powerful enemies while discovering a future together wove in perfectly with the adventure. I loved that the vampires were not the ‘bad’ parties just because of what they were. Another world I hope to see expanded upon. Yet another great story that is making this book a keeper.
Doesn’t that make you itch to get your hands on Sara and Arnold’s story?!
There are more lovely reviews floating around the internet, of course. LovLivLife Reviews had some fabulous things to say about HUNTED and TAKEN BY THE OTHERS, and Sara’s Urban Fantasy Blog reviewed TBTO.
I don’t have a solid date yet, but if you’d like a shot at interacting with Shia (and perhaps even Sara, Arnold, Chaz, and Royce), keep an eye on #UFChat on Twitter in March! I’ll be doing an interview and giveaway, and answering YOUR questions–so be ready to toss me and Shia some good ones!
I think that’s all for now, folks. It’s been a long, busy week, and I have to get back to the reading page proofs (the final version before ARCs are printed) of DECEIVED BY THE OTHERS. Any news or other special tidbits you want to share?
