I’ve called, texted, emailed and otherwise made every attempt to reach friends and family in the path of Superstorm Sandy.
I’ve heard from most of you. Not everyone. Please, if you’re okay, let me know. I’m worried about you.
Everyone else, now would be a great time to donate blood, warm clothing, food, bottled water, and funds to charities for disaster relief. Donations are always needed, but they are particularly important after disasters like this.
Some suggestions:
- Red Cross (you can donate $10 via your cell phone by texting REDCROSS to 90999)
- Doctors Without Borders
- ArkBark (helps animals made homeless by disasters like this)
- Evangelical Lutheran Church (Leanna Hieber suggested this one on my fundraising post for Japan last year)
If you have any charity suggestions of your own to donate to, please feel free to mention them in the comments.
My heart goes out to all of the people affected by this storm.
