Book Review Policy & Disclosure Statement

Last Updated: May 20, 2013

CURRENTLY CLOSED TO
UNSOLICITED REVIEW REQUESTS

I review books for fun.  Every book review is my personal opinion, and is not swayed whether I paid for the book or if it was given to me by an author or publisher. If you are going to pitch a fit about my honest opinion, please do not request a review from me.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the blog post, all books are purchased by me with money out of my own pocket.

To authors, publishers, and publicists: If you would like me to review or blurb a book or series, please use the website contact page to get in touch.

Side note to self-published authors: I don’t automatically say no to reviewing your books, but I do request that you please include the first five pages of your book (in addition to a description of what it is about) pasted into the contact form below your request. This gives me an opportunity to see if your story and writing works for me.

Whenever I get around to it.

Unsolicited books may or may not be reviewed; it all depends on my availability.

Review Format and Linkage
See here for examples. In addition to being posted on the blog, they will be added to my Goodreads account.

Blog Tours, Author Interviews, Giveaways & Guest Posting
I only accept guest posts from authors, agents, editors, and other professionals in the publishing industry. All are welcome here, so long as there are paranormal elements–meaning you probably don’t want to post here if you write MG or memoir. I’m always happy to host a fellow author, but please check with me as far in advance as possible so I can ensure your post goes up in a timely manner and doesn’t conflict with my schedule.
